Benny Bush Obituary
Lt. Col. Benny Houston Bush, U.S. Army, Retired, age 76 of Converse, TX, passed away on July 18, 2010. He is preceded in death by his first wife, Ava Margaret Bush. Benny is survived by his wife, Eleanor J. Bush; children, Gary B. Pitts & wife, Nicole of Houston, Lynn Esteves & husband, Hector of San Antonio, and Richard H. Bush of San Antonio; brothers, Henry Clinton Bush and James Hildred Bush; step-daughters, Ouida Hester & husband, Ellis and Liz Rainey; grandchildren, Andrew Pitts, Caitlan Pitts, Austin Pitts, and Chloe Pitts, all of Houston; step-grandchildren, Kim Evans & husband, Aaron, Brian Floyd, Wayne Rainey & wife, Toni, and David Rainey; step-great-grandchildren, Lauren Evans, Lexie Evans, and Alex Rainey and a host of nieces, nephews, and numerous other family members and friends. Benny served 20 years in the United States Army as Chief of Pharmacy. He also served as a Chairman of Deacons at First Baptist Church in Schertz. Visitation will be held from 5:00 PM until 9:00 PM on Thursday, July 22, 2010 at Schertz Funeral Home. Funeral Services will be held at 9:00 AM on Friday, July 23, 2010 at First Baptist Church of Schertz, TX. Interment, with full military honors, will follow at 10:30 AM at Fort Sam Houston National Cemetery.
