BLANCHE PENNICK
July 31, 1915 - September 5, 2024
Blanche Loving Pennick peacefully transitioned from this earthly life to her heavenly home at the age of 109 years. As the fourteenth of fifteen children born to John and Alice Loving, Blanche was born on the family farm outside of Ledbetter, Tx. on July 31,1915. She attended and graduated from the local Fayette County schools.
As a young adult, Blanche married Norris Pennick and in 1942 they moved to San Antonio. They immediately joined and became active members of Palestine Baptist Church. Their children, Charles, Loyal, Alice, Herbert, and Vanessa were raised on the west side.
She worked as a cook for SAISD at Grant Elementary and Thomas Jefferson High School. She leaves to mourn, daughter Alice (Frank, deceased) Fears, son Herbert (Gennethel) Pennick, grandsons Roderick (Nicole) and Christopher Fears, granddaughters Anissa Pennick and Adrienne (Tyrone) Blocker, great granddaughter Serena Fears, great grandsons Collin Blocker and Ravion Fears.
