My sincere condolences to the Schmidt & Hartmann families. I will always remember my dear cousin Brenda as a sweet and cheerful person who brightened the lives of many.

As a woman of faith she was victorious over many of her struggles. Brenda showed us that our strength is in God and to cling to Him for His mercy and grace and never let go.

I will miss her dearly. Rest in peace Brenda in the arms of our Savior the Lord Jesus Christ.

Brenda Schmidt was a women who lived a life of compassion. Despite whatever hardships she was going through she always went out of her way to help others when needed and always put on a smile that seemed so full of life. I will never forget the support and kind treatment she offered me over the years and don’t have words that would be able to express enough my love and thanks to her for it all. I and many others will miss her greatly.

Prayers for Courtney, my girlfriend and her whole family. Asking the Lord for healing and guidance during this difficult time.

Seems like that circle of life that folks always talk about is smaller for some than others. I have lost way too much family in the last two years! Both my parents, Uncle Jim, ,Uncle James, Dean, and now Brenda. If it weren't for the comfort of the Lord, just wouldn't make it. Praying for that comfort and peace to flow over your entire family!

Although I never knew Brenda personally, I have learned a lot about her through her daughter, Courtney. Courtney was Brenda's pride and joy; and Brenda hers. Brenda loved Jesus. She loved animals. She was strong and resilient when faced with challenges. She cared deeply for others, and was truly a bright light in this dark world. She lived life, and she lived it well. I have no doubt that when Jesus greeted her, he said, 'Well done, good and faithful servant'. To Brenda's family and friends, I wish you all love, strength, and healing in this incredibly difficult time. She will live on in each one of your lives, and she will never be forgotten.

I wasn't able to get to know Brenda well personally, but I know what a sweet influence she was on her daughter, Courtney. They supported each others like troopers, and I know Courtney has a warrior and sweet spirit about her. I know Brenda is already greatly missed and my thoughts go out to the family. Much love and hugs

We knew Brenda Schmidt from her birth in St. John’s Lutheran. She grew up as a quite, sweet person. She had a fine family who supported her through health problems, especially her daughter, Courtney. We knew her parents from our church, Al and Barbara Hartmann.
Our sincere condolences to all the family.

To the Hartmann and Schmidt family, I give my deepest condolences...Brenda was a beautiful sweet girl and I have a lot of funny and crazy teenage memories of our HS years. She has always been in my prayers and I'm grateful she's no longer suffering or in pain. We have all gained a sweet guardian angel.

I’ve known longer than I can remember. My parents have pictures of us playing “here comes the bride” where she, as a still bald toddler, was “flower girl.” Since our parents are friends, we met for many family events. After being out of touch, except for Christmas cards to her parents, I reconnected with Brenda a couple of years ago on Facebook. I was proud to have been her friend for 50+ years.

Aunt Barbara, Uncle Sonny, Wayne, Courtney - my deepest condolences. I can’t imagine your grief. Love to all!

I could tell by her photos what a sweet and caring soul Brenda was and how much she loved Jesus. I could see the joy of the Lord on her face. Praying for the family through this hard time and God will give you comfort and peace throughout the days ahead. Love, Jennifer Cooper aka Jennifer David
