Denise and family, I am so sorry for your loss. He was a wonderful man and it was a pleasure to work for him. Brian gave me a chance and I honestly don't know where I would be today without him and LOFD. You all have been in my prayers and will continue to be in the days, weeks, months, and years ahead.

I knew Brian as the Fire Chief in Live Oak and he ran a "tight ship". He was a very pleasant individual and set an example for others to follow. It is sad to loose him at such a young age. He will be missed. Bill Umphlett.

I'm really saddened by Brian's passing. I enjoyed our conversations and treasured his insight. The world is a much sadder place without Brian. My family will be raising him up in prayer as well as praying for his family.

Seeing this makes it real, and I don't think any of us are ready to feel how real it is. They don't make them like Brian anymore. He was a stand up man. The highlight of my day was when we got off at 5 and he would wait for me or I for him, and sit in the rocking chairs in front of Springs and chit chat. Everyday. He never was too busy, he always treated people like they were the most important, and he worked hard. He loved his family so passionately, especially his best friend Owen. I can't thank the Good Lord enough for allowing me to be his friend, and he mine. My heart hurts... my prayers to his precious family... I can't offer any words to make it easier, so I won't try. Just know that ya'll are in my heart and my prayers. I'm hoping Heaven has a bunch of rocking chairs, and I'll find my friend in one... someday... after 5.
