Catherine Henry

Catherine R. Henry, 86, of Bradford passed away Tuesday (Sept. 9, 2025) at Olean (N.Y.) General Hospital.
She was born Feb. 24, 1939, in Bradford, a daughter of the late Dominic and Nellie Valencenti Rich.
She was a 1957 graduate of Bradford Area High School.
On May 6, 1961, in Bradford, she married Walter E. Henry, who preceded her in death on Nov. 30, 1997.
She was employed as a secretary for Dresser Manufacturing Co. from 1957 until her retirement in 2003.
She was a member of St. Bernard Catholic Church. She enjoyed shopping and she especially loved spending time with her "sunshine," Josh Mongillo, who is her grandson.
She is survived by one daughter, Brenda (Steve) Mongillo of Bradford; one grandson, Josh (Megan) Mongillo of Wilmington, N.C.; two sisters-in-law, Peggy Rich of Bradford and Pat Ricciardi of Schenectady, N.Y.; and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents and husband she was preceded in death by one sister, Louise Ackley; and four brothers, Joseph Rich, Geno Rich, Francis Rich and James Ricciardi.
The family will receive friends 10 to 11 a.m. Monday (Sept. 15, 2025) at St. Bernard Catholic Church, where a Mass of Christian burial will immediately follow with the Rev. Edward Walk, senior associate pastor, as celebrant.
Committal services and entombment will be in St. Bernard Cemetery.
