Consuelo D. Rocha, a lifelong resident of San Antonio, entered eternal rest on December 5, 2025 at the age of 100. She was born on November 19, 1925 to William and Susie (Martinez) Doria. In 1947, "Connie" as many knew her, met and married her husband of 52 years, Rodolfo "Rudy" Rocha. They raised their five children in the home where Connie lived for the next 78 years until the day she passed.
Connie built a long career in early childhood education serving as a teacher's aide, teacher, childcare center director, and eventually as owner and director of Carino Childcare Center which has been serving children and families since 1980. She proudly served on the school board for SAISD, including as Board President, as well as on boards of education at the state and national levels.
A rosary will be recited at 6:30pm this Thursday, Dec. 11th at St. James the Apostle Catholic Church, 907 W. Theo Ave. The funeral service will be celebrated at 12:00pm on Friday, December 12th at St. James. In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation in memory of Connie, to the DoSeum (formerly the San Antonio Children's Museum).
