Reyna Cortes-Garcia age 97 of San Antonio died Monday, September 25, 2006. Reyna was known for her compassionate and giving heart. If you ask anyone the one thing they remember most about Reyna is her constant praying for others. She worried about the world for her children and for all those she heard about. There was never enough time in the day for prayer. We know that God is enjoying her spirit of love at the moment. We are all thankful to have such a wonderful guardian angel looking down on us. She is survived by her daughter, Theresa Ortiz; 2 grandchildren, Sarah Huerta and husband, Juan, and Zoe Ortiz; and numerous nieces and nephews. A Rosary will be recited on Thursday evening, September 28, at 7:00 PM at the Angelus Chapel. Funeral Mass will be offered on Friday, September 29, at 10:00 AM at St. Mark's the Evangelist Catholic Church. Interment will follow at San Fernando Archdiocesan Cemetery No. 2. In lieu of flowers, we ask that a mass is said in her honor - anywhere and for anyone. Reyna would have wanted it this way.
