Curtis Pape Obituary

Curtis Wayne Pape passed away unexpectedly on 29 July 2022. Curtis was born on 19 January 1964 in San Antonio TX, the middle child born to Lee Allen and Janet (Golla) Pape.

Curtis was a social person, people gravitated to him. He could hold a conversation with anyone. Curtis was quick witted, intelligent but a kind heart, especially with animals. His girls (cows) Bessie and Daisy will miss being hand fed cubes. His cats Bandit, Pooty and Calvin are already missing him. Curtis loved to bird watch and always enjoyed seeing a new species bird. One thing he did have was a stubborn nature.

Curtis was a BIG motocross fan. He participated in many minor races, won a few, even though his height was a detriment to the sport. He was also a Spurs fan from the time he went to Spurs camp at age 12.

Curtis had some lifelong childhood friends. I am sure they will miss him and his often off-the-track banter.

Curtis leaves behind his son Jeremy Wayne Pape, his mother Janet and sister Karen Pape. Also his Aunt Bibiana Hilldore, and numerous cousins

Curtis was preceded in death by his father Lee Allen and his brother Kenneth Lee Pape.

Visitation will be held at Triumphant Lutheran Church, Bat Cave Rd, Garden Ridge TX. on Thursday 11 August at 10:00 a.m. Funeral Service will be held at Triumphant Lutheran Church at 11:00 am

To the Pape family, my deepest condolences for having lost such a wonderful human being. Your obituary truly captures his essence. I loved Curtis very much- from Kirby through Judson. Curtis was unconditionally accepting of everyone. I will never forget the kindness and "coolness" he showed everyone. I loved having him in class. He was extremely inquisitive, intriguing, and intelligent. His humorous outlook on life was so engaging and enduring. I loved seeing him and talking to him at the reunions. I wish so much he and I would have spent more time together. He will forever been I'm my heart. Truly special and one of a kind. My heart breaks, and I'm so sorry for your unexpected loss. I'm sorry you lost your rock, Ms. Pape, but I'm so glad to hear he was that for you. RIP beloved, wonderful Curtis. The world will not be the same wthout you...
