Daniel Selwyn Obituary

Daniel J. Selwyn aka D.J. Stone passed away April 4, 2004. He was born July 8, 1950 in Providence, Rhode Island and had lived in Texas the last 30 years. He leaves his wife, Lynn Graham Selwyn; daughter, Diana; and son, Christopher. He was preceded in death by his son, Matthew J. Selwyn; and father, George E. Selwyn. He was the son of Mary E. Selwyn, brother of Paul Selwyn, George Selwyn, Julie Selwyn Pearcey, Lee Bresnahan of Rhode Island and Maribeth Brouillette of Arlington, Texas. He leaves many nieces and nephews. He was a musician and songwriter and recently wrote a song about the Station Fire in Rhode Island. He was an AAU basketball coach of the San Antonio Magic. He loved his family, his friends, his sports and his music and will be sadly missed by all those who were fortunate enough to know him. The family will receive friends on Wednesday from 5:00 P.M. to 9:00 P.M. at Porter Loring Mortuary North. VIGIL SERVICE WEDNESDAY 7:00 P.M. PORTER LORING NORTH CHAPEL SERVICE THURSDAY 1:00 P.M. PORTER LORING NORTH CHAPEL With Deacon William Bowlin officiating. Interment will follow in Sunset Memorial Park. Memorial contributions may be made to the Matthew J. Selwyn Scholarship Fund at Central Catholic High School, 1403 N. St. Mary's St., San Antonio, Texas 78215. The family invites you to leave a message or memory at www.porterloring.com by selecting Visitation and Services. Select "Sign Guestbook" at the bottom of the individual Memorial.
