Not sure what to say?

I just stopped crying and wanted to say how sad I am to know that David is no longer on earth. He was such an incredible child and will always be little David to me. The first time I met David, Bev was pushing him in his stroller at North Star Mall and I was managing a seasonal cart called Woods 'N Such, and I personalized wooden calendars in calligraphy. On the back of the cart I kept a canister of mints and gave one to David. So, so, politely he asked, "Miss Maura, could I have another mint?" He pronounced mint with several syllables and it made me cry I laughed so hard. Every Christmas season Bev, David and I would get together to go to a movie and get a bite to eat. He was such a special person and I have cherished the memories. My Christmases haven't been as full since our last get together many years ago. Sending love to Bev, Neal and Michael. I'm positive that David smiles down on all that met and knew him. Maura

A special guy, with a lot of spunk, and a kind heart. You are missed by many. It's hard to believe its been a year..still seeing that little boy with the big smile and so much energy. I didn't know he had graduated from law school, so impressive, but he had a big drive in him, even as a young boy.. Sending our love to you all , Jane, Mark, Sam, and Larissa Thompson

Dearest David,

Your love for life, compassion for others, and ability to put a smile on the faces of people around you will never be forgotten. Instead, you will be appreciated and remembered eternally. I will never forget your unconditional friendship, (even at such a young age) you always cared for me and made sure I felt welcomed in Texas. It doesn't surprise me one bit you went to law school to make a positive difference in others lives. During the harshest years of my teens, you provided me with kindness and love at a time I was truly alone. I never had a chance to tell you how grateful I am for you. You represent love and joy in the hearts of many. You are truly one in a million, dear friend.

Today, I looked your name up because (thirteen years later) I wanted to thank you for being such a wonderful friend to me. You will forever be in my heart. I will never forget your laugh and smile.

Love Always,

C
Your friend in California

Sending love and condolences to your family and friends.

Margo and I did not have the privilege of meeting David. Undoubtedly, he was a fine young Man, being the son of Beverly and Neil. God has a Plan for all of us, which encompasses events such as this. God knows why He does things which cause us much grief and sorrow. We must Trust the Lord's Will at times like this. We speak to the Lord in terms of "Thy Will, not Mine." Amen
