Diane C. Gould

Diane Chillingworth Gould, at 86, died December 1, 2018 in San Antonio, Texas. She was born in the Bronx, New York to Catherine and Francis Chillingworth, and was the youngest of eight sisters and one brother, Thomas. After Francis died, the family moved to Newbold Ave., later they moved to Bay Ridge and Clifton, NJ. Diane attended Hunter College, and worked for Street & Smith (Condé Nast), and Reader's Digest. She was fond of dogs, warm woolen sweaters, tennis, skiing and hiking. Diane taught at Brookside in Allendale, NJ. She met Thomas L. Gould, who she married June 13, 1969. They lived in Peekskill, NY, and Alhambra, CA, briefly; but moved to Ramsey, NJ, where they resided for 34 years. Diane volunteered for the Ramsey Library, Literacy Volunteers of America; and Girl Scouts; she always put others before herself. She was a loving wife and mother challenged daily by neurological disabilities. Diane and Tom retired to Carlisle, PA. Their final move was San Antonio to be with daughter Georgianna and grand daughter Josephine. They both spent final days at home with aid of Encompass Hospice and Home Instead.
