With deepest sympathy. He will be missed. Met Dr. Shulman when I was 17 with a severe infection - in the 70´s. He went out of his way to help me and I knew from there forward he was a really caring doctor and loved what he did. Saw him for years and referred many whom loved him as well. Truly missed.

I first met David when he transferred to UT and affiliated with our chapter of the fraternity he had joined at Sewanee. Even then he was as warm and courteous to everyone he met as he was known to be as a practicing physician in San Antonio. I was very sorry to learn of his death.

I, too, was a longtime patient of Dr. Shulman, having complete faith and trust in his treatment of my rare eye difficulties. He was my friend, too, as he was a gentle caring soul. I had the privilege of getting to meet some of his granddaughters. I don't know who can replace him as a doctor. He cared what we all felt. RIP my friend!
