Emma Dora Ondarza Cavazos

Our darling Mother, Emma Dora Ondarza Cavazos passed peacefully on December 27th at age 95. She lived a full life; warm, compassionate, and caring, she in turn was loved by many dear cousins and friends. Her passion for playing classical piano started at an early age and was a lifelong companion. A devout Catholic she was active in her church serving in the Altar Society and Legion of Mary. Always the fun-loving Mother, she was active in all her young children's activities and a confidant, cheerleader, and wise counsel, as her children grew, she remained interested in all their pursuits. She was the "fun" Mom, her kids' friends loved to sit around the kitchen table and enjoy her quick wit! She is proceeded in death by her parents, Manuel and Herlinda Ondarza, her lifelong love and husband, Bill, her son, Billy, and her brother Manuel Jr. Her Legacy continues by her surviving children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren. Betsy Homan (Skip Reed), Bob Cavazos (Cyndi), Grandchildren: Katie Mares (Mike), Christin Lutz (Matt) and Great Grandchildren, Hawkins, and Asher Mares, Aubrey, and Hadley Lutz.

A Rosary will be held at Mission Park, Cherry Ridge on January 16th at 7:00. Mass of the Resurrection at St Gregory the Great, January 17Th at 9:30. Interment immediately following at Ft Sam Houston National Cemetery.
