Evangeline Sanchez Obituary

Evangeline Sanchez, age 87, passed away on January 16, 2026, in San Antonio, TX. She was born on July 4, 1938, in Eagle Pass, TX to parents, Josefa and Luis Willars.
She was preceded in death by her parents. Evangeline is survived by her husband, Alex Sanchez; her children, Phillip Sanchez and Eva Marie Tavarez (Ronnie); her grandchildren, Alex Sanchez, Sabrina Sanchez, Vince Tavarez, and Ryan Tavarez; her siblings, Delia Perez (Mike) and Edward Willars (Tonia); and numerous nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m., on Monday, February 2, 2026, at Porter Loring Mortuary North, with a funeral service to follow.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Wounded Warrior Project (online or by mail: PO Box 758516, Topeka, KS 66675-8516).
