Federico Saldivar Obituary
Family standing by his side Federico C. Saldívar raised his head and smiled as he faced and heard our Lord and Savior. Hearing his call brought a smile upon his face. Although Federico's earthly voice was silenced, it is certain he heard the singing of Angels as they danced alongside him directing him to the Heavenly gates on August 31, 2014. Free of the pain and suffering that comes with the aging of our earthly bodies, he traded all of that for a heavenly body that never grows tired. Reconnected with family that went before him. Federico can now live in peace and joy for eternity. Born in San Antonio, Texas. Predeceased in life by his son José Freddie and his parents Andres and Josepha Saldívar. He is survived by his wife of 61 years Olvido Saldívar, son Allen Saldívar wife Diana, daughters Maria Hankla, husband Jim of Tyler, Katriona, Veronica Saldívar, grandchildren, Laura Luna; Sarah, Christopher, Matthew Hankla; Rebecca Saldívar, Danielle Ramsey and Dustin Saldívar. Visitation Sunday Sept. 7, 2014 from 1-9 PM Rosary at 7 PM at Castillo Mission Funeral Home. Monday, Sept. 8, 2014 Mass at 9 AM at St. Mary Magdalen Catholic Church. Interment to follow at Ft. Sam Houston National Cemetery with military honors.
