Florence Tripp Obituary

Florence Tripp
October 16, 1932 - October 26, 2025
Florence "Flo" Tripp has joined her heavenly Father and is now reunited with Hank, her one and only true love. They were blessed to have 62 wonderful and happy years of marriage together until his death on October 30, 2012. 'Hank-n-Flo' loved to dance, play Skip-Bo, dominoes and enjoyed traveling and playing the slots during gambling trips. Flo retired as Vice-President of Commercial Landmark Finance Co; she also worked for the US Postal Service, Incredible Journeys Travel and H & R Block Tax Service. She was an original member of St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church and served as a charter member of the Silver Stars seniors group, preparing meals and hosting activities. She belonged to the SCC group, the Rosary Society, the Altar Care team, and volunteered for Mobile Loaves and Fishes. As a devoted parishioner, she also spent every Monday morning volunteering as a collections counter for over 25 years. Flo enjoyed fun times playing dominos and cards with the 'gals' and enjoyed time spent with her neighbors, Carol and Monroe Lane, and Molly and Pete Carrillo, sharing memories of their travels. She was always ready to dance with Hank whenever and wherever the music played, enjoyed weekends at the lake, and hosting get togethers at home, serving her delicious meals with family and friends. She enjoyed her friends with the Red Hats and attending meetings at Hermann Sons Pershing Lodge 130. She also served as State President of the National Association of Postal Supervisors Auxiliary. Flo is survived by her three children, Patti Hass (Henry), Steve Tripp (Regina) and Peggy Tripp (Dennis Farris); grandchildren, Mallori Denbow (Shawn), Christopher Tripp (Stephanie) and Kyle Tripp; along with 4 great-grandchildren, and many special nieces and nephews. The family would like to thank the many kind family and friends for their calls and visits that have been so supportive at this time.

Mass will be held on Tuesday, November 18, 2025, at 11:30 a.m., at St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church, located at 4201 De Zavala Rd, San Antonio, TX 78249. Prior to Mass there will be a Rosary prayed in her name beginning at 11:00 a.m.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church.

Aunt Florence was such a sweet soul to me. Her kind heart and happy disposition made her a joy to be around. She was an amazing mother and wife. My thoughts and prayers to all who loved her and will always miss her! Love, Virginia & Bob Kalt, Madera, California.
