Frank Castaneda Obituary

Frank Macias Castañeda passed peacefully into the hands of the Lord on November 17, 2007 at the age of 87. Frank is survived by his beloved wife of 62 years, Andrea Cortez Castañeda; sons: Paul, Robert & wife Olga, Bill & wife Lisa; grandchildren: Myssie & husband Mark, Rosyln, Anthony and Allison and great-grandchild, Christian. He is also survived by step sisters: Mary-Ann & husband Harvey, Janie & husband Philip, Zeba & husband Humberto, step brother Johnny & wife Mary and numerous other nieces, nephews, relatives & dear friends. Visitation will be held from 11:00 AM until 9:00 PM at Schertz Funeral Home, (with the family receiving friends at the family home from 6:00 PM - 8:00 PM), on Tuesday, November 20, 2007 and from 9:00 AM until 9:00 PM (with the family receiving friends at the funeral home at 6:00 PM and a Rosary being Recited at 7:00 PM) on Wednesday, November 21, 2007. A Mass will be Celebrated at 8:30 AM on Friday, November 23, 2007 at St. Monica's Catholic Church in Converse. Interment, with full military honors, will follow at Fort Sam Houston National Cemetery. Memorial donations may be made to: The American Cancer Society or the Alzheimer's Association. Please review the website for additional information on Frank's life.
