Fred Duane Christy

Fred Duane Christy was born on May 13, 1928. He lost his courageous battle with cancer on May 31, 2002, at the age of 74. He is survived by his beloved wife of 48 years, Ruth Christy; four children and their spouses, David and Darlene Christy, Linda and Dick Young, Laura and Ben Hensley, and Mark and Gail Christy. He is also survived by 12, soon to be 13, adoring grandchildren, Danny, Weston, Brandon and Nick Christy, Daniel and Stephen Bray, Ryan and Lindsay Young, Kevin and Kurt Hensley, and Corbin and Caroline Christy. Very special thanks to Dr. James Martin, Dr. Ronald Drangler, his nurse Gail, the entire Oncology staff at Christus Santa Rosa, and the loving people at Hospice Homecare. A Memorial Service will be held Tuesday, June 4, 2002 at 1:00 P.M. in Mission Park Funeral Chapels North with Pastor Bill Swantner officiating. Interment will follow in Mission Burial Park North.
