Gary DeLaune age 88 of San Antonio, went home to be with his Lord and Savior on Sunday, February 6, 2022. Though his loss is felt deeply, it gives us great joy to think about the heavenly homecoming he received. His was an extraordinary life, lived to the fullest. Gary took his greatest joy in finding something amazing about every person he met.
Gary was preceded in death by his wife and one true love Jo DeLaune and is survived by his daughter Andrea DeLaune-Holley her husband Robert and their children Chase Holley and Avery Holley, son Shannon DeLaune, his wife Holly, and their children, Mason DeLaune and Madison DeLaune
A celebration of a Life Well Lived will begin at 1:30 P.M. at Oak Hills Church, 19595 I-10, San Antonio 78257, on Friday, February 11, 2022. The family invites you to wear your favorite bright colors to celebrate a life lived in full color. A reception will follow at the Church. Private interment at Mission Burial Park North. In lieu of flowers, contributions in his memory may be made to the Gary DeLaune Memorial Journalism Scholarship Fund and can be made at any Frost Bank. You may leave a message or memory on the Tribute Wall on his memorial at www.missionparks.com.
