George Ward Best
Our beloved husband, father and brother passed away May 8, 2013 in Castroville, TX. Born June 18, 1945 in Ballinger, TX. Preceded in death by wife Peggy Best, father Max Best, mother Dr. Mildred Ward Costello and stepfather Gene, and sister Millie Wilke. He is survived by his wife of 28 years Laura, daughters Bridget Best, Mickie Eatherly and husband Mike, son Scott Best and wife Kelley, stepdaughter Adrienne Hill, stepson David Hill and wife Ina, brothers John and Dr. Max Best Jr., Albert Gainer and sister Margie Norman. Eight grandchildren, Jason Eatherly, Tyler, Dylan, Brooklyn and Chase Best, Christopher Forehand, Donovan and Brianna Hill, many nieces and nephews, loving relatives and friends. George served in the U.S. Marine Corp, a Viet Nam Veteran, loved to fly, skydive and being with family at the beach. George will be greatly missed. Funeral services will be May 23, 2013 at 2:45pm, Fort Sam Houston, San Antonio, TX.

George was a great person to be around. Though I have not seen him in many years, I will truly miss him. My love and prayers go out to all of his family and friends. Rest in Peace, George.
