George Steve Dezo III
January 17, 1954 – January 7, 2025
George Steve Dezo III passed away peacefully on January 7, 2025, at the age of 70, in San Antonio, Texas.
George was born on January 17, 1954, in Galveston County, Texas, to George Steve Dezo Jr. and Thelma Shray Dezo. He spent his childhood in Alvin, Texas, and graduated from Alvin High School in 1972. He went on to earn a Bachelor of Science Degree from The University of Texas at Austin.
As an Eagle Scout, George had a lifelong passion for the Boy Scouts of America. He also enjoyed fishing, cheering on the University of Texas football team, and traveling with close friends.
Professionally, George dedicated over 40 years of service to the steel service center industry, ending his career as the VP/GM Central Region for the Triple-S Steel Corporation at their San Antonio Facility. His commitment and leadership to the steel service center industry will leave a lasting impression on all his colleagues.
George was preceded in death by his parents George Steve Dezo Jr. and Thelma Shray Dezo, and sister Paulette Dezo Brumbelow. He is survived by his sister, Barbara Dezo Booth; nephews Tom Booth and Jeffery Brumbelow; nieces Kari Booth Jones and Janet Brumbelow; and numerous family members and friends.
George's memory will live on in the hearts of those who knew and loved him. May he rest in peace.
A graveside burial service for the Family was held at the South Park Cemetery in Pearland, Tx.
There are ongoing discussions for a future Celebration of Life event to be held in San Antonio. At this time, no official information is available.

George and I were friends in high school, we enjoyed Boy Scouts together and graduated in 1972. His parents allowed me to accompany George at concerts and a UT game. He will be missed.

I remember George from jr. high and high school. He was one of the nicest people I'd ever met. He was immensely popular, yet never behaved in the stuck-up way that a lot of the other popular kids did. He was kind to everyone, no matter who they were. More specifically, he was kind to me, and *that* is why I remember him. You never forget the kind people in your life, no matter how many years have passed. He loved spreading laughter. I'm really saddened by his death.

My deepest heartfelt condolences. I was his Personal Trainer in the late 90´s. He became good friends and kept in touch over the years. He will be missed.

Met George couple of years ago at a Christmas Party in San Antonio. He was a gentleman as being respectful and genuine. My condolences are with the family of George. Blessings from all your friends from San Antonio.

I first met George in the first grade. We were in many classes together all thru our high school years. He was loved and respected by all. In past years I was able to meet George for lunch a couple of times. Once in San Antonio and another time with a small group from our Alvin High School class. He also joined in on one our class zoom meetings. Losing a dear friend -it´s like losing part of yourself. May God give comfort to all those that loved George.
