Gertrude Hoffman Obituary
Gertrude P. Hoffman, age 95, passed away on Saturday, December 27, 2014 in San Antonio, Texas. She was born on August 29, 1919 to Louis and Pauline Mehr in Bader Settlement. Gertrude retired from Sears. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Wilford J. Hoffman; daughter, Wilfreen Hoffman Gardner; sisters, Irene Jungman and Marlene Tschirhart. Gertrude is survived by her beloved daughters, Rita Meyer (Quentin) and Rebecca Hoffman; she was a loving and proud grandmother to Michael W. Meyer (Anne), Stephen J. Meyer (Julie), Angie Jones (Ryan), Scott Gardner and Robert Gardner; great-grandchildren, Danielle Urbina (Eddie), Casey Meyer, Joshua Meyer, Ember Jones, Liam Jones and Brianna Jones. The family would like to extend a special thank you to the staff at Regent Care Center on Blanco Rd. for their kind and loving care of Gertrude.

Quentin, Rita and Family,
My deepest sympathies. I can remember the many times we were at Grandma Bendeles and Aunt Gertie would be there. How they would sit and laugh and have such a great time. Aunt Gertie always had a smile on her face. She will be missed. May she rest in peace and be with her loved ones in heaven.

Aunt Gertie was an inspiration for me, and I'm thankful for the last few visits I had with her at the home. I recall she always looked so pretty, and her laugh and smile were pleasing to me, even as a child. I send my deepest sympathies to her family, my dear cousins.
