Giles will truly be missed by us at hair fashions as he came faithfully for his hair cuts for many years . As he parked a block away from my hm to go to all the Judson football games . Giles is one of the most intelligent men I have ever met along with his humor and heart ! We will miss you my friend ...... Go Rockets

May this kind man of whom I worked with at the San Antonio Water System (SAWS) rest in peace. He was thoughtful, creative, mind-boggling, but humorous in only his way. We will always remember Giles as "Monty," the purple animal that only he could see in his wild imagination. Even after SAWS, he was involved with his work of science, chemistry and the environment. We will miss you Giles! God bless you!

Dear Becky,
It is with some difficulty that I have set out to articulate my deep sorrow at the news of Giles' passing. I offer my condolences to you at the loss of a lifelong love, and I want to you to know what Giles meant to me. He must have been a kind and patient soul, with a special place in his heart for children. Whether or no, he certainly took me under his wing at a time when I was the most vulnerable and alone in my life. I can barely recall his face, but the presence of someone who accepted me and spent time with me is clear in my memory. Clearly I felt safe with him because as a little girl I was shy to a fault and generally avoided interacting with people. His love of engineering and science fiction likely coaxed my science fiction thirsty soul and may have fanned the inexhaustible awe and curiosity that I have for the cosmos (and anything headed that general direction). Our PHV clothesline and lattice work spaceship transported both us to places where we were the explorers, we were adventurous, and we were more than our Earth-bound, eccentric selves. Even at that age I knew we had something in common. I'm so sorry that I didn't reach out to him. I didn't realized how fulfilling it might have been until presented with the reality that I couldn't. . And yet, we had our time Giles and me, during my formative years, a long time ago on a continent far, far away on S. Lexington St. I like to think that he influenced me. He certainly lives in a cherished part of my heart and so I will carry his memory with me, always. Much love, Shannon Michelle Wilcox
