Glendon Doebbler Obituary

Glendon A. Doebbler, 83, left this life on Monday, March 7, 2016, in San Antonio after a short illness.

Born in Comfort, Texas, he grew up there on his parents' farm hunting, fishing, and helping raise crops, cattle and sheep. He joined the U.S. Air Force and served three years, after which he worked at Culligan Soft Water Service in Kerrville and then as a journeyman electrician in San Antonio for several companies, including Highland Electric, Gillette Electric, and Vollmer Electric.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Bodo and Alvina (Boehnert) Doebbler and brother Gordon B. Doebbler.

He is survived by wife Helga Doebbler of Boerne; sister Estelle Holekamp of Houston; daughters Glenda Collins of Boerne and Christine Doebbler of San Antonio; sons David Price of Boerne, Shorty Price of Castroville, and Roy Price of Kerrville; grandchildren Jennifer Dennis of Ulsan, South Korea, Mark Dennis of Austin, and Sydney Price of Waco; and many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

Memorial will take place on Saturday, April 16, 2016 at 1:30 p.m. at the Comfort City Park in Comfort, Texas. Donations may be made in his name to Lane Valley Community Center, P.O. Box 162, Comfort, Texas 78013.
