Grant Logan Obituary
Grant Logan, born October 19, 1931 in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania went to be with the Lord on Friday, April 28, 2017 at the age of 85 years. He is preceded in death by his wife of 42 years, Lucy C. Logan; sister, Marjorie Logan; brother, Meredith Logan, Jr.; and his parents, Meredith E. Logan and Rosa Hayes. He is survived by his children, Vera Chastang, Ronald Logan, Rosa Logan, Mary Gadison & Lee Gadison, Jr.; sisters, Elizabeth Logan and Lucy Waldon; sisters-in-law, Elizabeth Montgomery and Eleanor Cockrell; nine grandchildren and numerous great-grandchildren, nephews, nieces and other relatives and friends. Visitation will begin Thursday, May 11, 2017 from 10:00 a.m. - 11:00 a.m. with funeral service to be held at 11:00 a.m. at Grace First Baptist Church, 2514 Observation Drive. Interment will follow at Fort Sam Houston National Cemetery at 2:00 p.m.

Thank you for some of my happiest childhood memories. The time I spent with Papa was a guiding light that informed the rest of my life. From his example I knew that a better life awaited me if I worked hard. I wish my son had a chance to meet you, for that I will be forever sorry. Love you PaPa.

My prayers are with the Logan family. Your dad was a wonderful man. I met your mom and dad many years ago at my sister-in-law, which is your next door neighbor, Rosetta Columbus. May he rest in peace.

Sorry to learn of Grants passing. We worked at BB Saxon several years ago. He was a super gentleman and respectful of every one he met. Will be missed.
