Harold Massey Obituary

MASSEY
Mr. Harold Massey of Fredericksburg, TX passed away in Fredericksburg on Monday, March 21st, 2011 at the age of 90 years. Harold was born April 5, 1920 in Eden, TX to W.M. and Lizzie Jo Prosise Massey. Harold married Natalie Blair on May 1, 1944 in Eden, TX. Harold retired from the United States Air Force after 30 years of service, attaining the rank of Lieutenant Colonel. Mr. Massey is survived by his wife: Natalie Blair Massey of Fredericksburg, TX. Two sons, one daughter, Barry & wife Pat Massey of Temple, TX. Margot Massey of Austin, TX. Roger Massey of Kerrville, TX. Three grandchildren, Elizabeth Dickey, Jason & Mengyun Massey, Tommy & Amber Massey. Three great grandchildren, Catherine Dickey, Grace Massey, Fiona Massey. Six sisters, one brother & spouses, Judy Buie of Arlington, TX; Wilna Breen of San Angelo, TX; Jo McMillan of Midland, TX.; Jean & Deljean Millsap of Blackwell, TX.; June & George Strebeck of San Angelo; Marvin & Jean Massey of Houston, TX; Doris Taylor of San Angelo. Along with his parents, Harold was preceded in death by two sisters and a brother: Thelma Ellis, Janice Kelley, and Milton Massey. His body will lie in state in the Schaetter Funeral Home in Fredericksburg until 8:30 A. M. Friday morning and from 9 to 10:00 A. M. in the Church of Christ Church in Fredericksburg. Funeral services will be held on Friday, March 25th, 2011 at 10:00 A. M. in the Church of Christ Church in Fredericksburg, with Tommy LeFan officiating. Graveside services and interment with full military honors accorded by the U. S. Air Force will follow in the Greenwood Cemetery in Fredericksburg. Those who so desire may make memorial contributions in his memory to the charity of their choice. Visitation for Harold Massey will be on Thursday, March 24th, 2011 from 4:30 to 7:00 P. M. in the Schaetter Funeral Home in Fredericksburg. Expressions of sympathy may be sent at www.schaetter.com Arrangements are by the:
