Hector Garcia Obituary
Hector Garcia Jr. went to be with the Lord on December 8, 2014 at the age of 49. Hector was a member of Bandera Road City Church and he graduated from Regions University with a Bachelor's Degree in Ministry. In addition to his education, Hector had a remarkable gift for writing which led him to pursue poetry and write a children's book, "Ronnie the Rhino and the Grumpy Old Elephant," which was published in 2008. He loved children, spending time with family and friends, especially his nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his sister Terry Amen and grandparents Juan and Rosa Garcia and Ramon and Socorro Garcia. He is survived by his parents Hector Sr. and Elena Garcia, sisters Laura Guerrero (Martin), Rosie Garcia, Rebecca Freed (Tom), brother John Garcia (Rosa), nieces and nephews Jordan and Victoria Garcia, Chelsea Amen, Lauren Ibarra, Brooke and Jordan Freed, Brandon Garcia, Christopher Guerrero, Deniece Bolanos. In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial contributions to be made to: The Hector Garcia Foundation .A Memorial Service will take place on Tuesday, December 16, 2014, 10:00 AM at Trevino Funeral Home Palo Alto, 2525 Palo Alto Rd. Services will conclude after the memorial service.

We have missed you all and just found out this morning that our dear brother and your beloved Hector has gone home to be with the Lord. He was an inspiration to those of us who knew him at the Davis -Scott YMCA. God bless and keep you in His loving care.
