Henry Kiester Obituary

Henry R Kiester
April 2, 1967 - June 11, 2024
It is with heartfelt sorrow that the family of South Ogden resident, Henry R. Kiester, shares the news of his death.
Henry was born on April 2, 1967, in the suburbs of Chicago, Illinois, to Henry Herbert Kiester and Cheryl (Brunson) Kiester, and raised in San Antonio, TX. He left us on June 11, 2024, just months after he celebrated his 57th birthday.
Henry is survived by his loving wife of 27 years, Maria (Solis Montano) Kiester, and adored only child, daughter, Laura Kiester. He is also survived by his mother, Cheryl (Ben) Ramirez and sister, Anne (John) Aramendia; and their sons, Jake (Taylor) and John (Emma) Aramendia; and Aunt Leisa (Stephen) Braband. He was preceded in death by his father (2016).
Senior Master Sergeant Henry Robert Kiester served in the Air Force from January 1986 to February 2012. He was a decorated Veteran of Operation Desert Storm and throughout his career was stationed all over the world, landing at Hill Air Force Base in 2012, his last assignment before retirement from the military. Henry was the third generation to serve in the military, following the footsteps of his father and grandfather.
After retiring from the Air Force, Henry joined Weber State University's Division of Continuing Education (DOCE) as a program administrator in 2012.
Henry loved his family, loved his country, loved his job at Weber State, loved baseball and loved squirrels (not necessarily in that order). His premature passing is a cautionary tale to live life to its fullest.
Memorial services will be held on Saturday, June 15, 2024, at 3 p.m. at Lindquist's Ogden Mortuary, 3408 Washington Blvd., where full military honors will be accorded. Friends may visit with family on Saturday from 1 to 3 p.m. at the mortuary. A reception will be held on Saturday from 4 to 6 p.m. at the Community Center at Lindquist's Office Building, 3434 Washington Blvd.
