Henry John Vandervort Jr.

Henry John Vandervort, Jr. went to be with the Lord on Friday, June 30, 2006 at the age of 59. He was born in San Antonio on April 17, 1947 and he graduated from Fox Tech High School in 1965. He retired from Kelly Air Force Base with more than 30 years of service. He had a passion for hunting, gardening, cooking and baking. He had an innate ability to fix almost anything that needed fixing. He was always up for the challenge. He is preceded in death by his father, Henry John Vandervort, Sr. and his sister, Isabel Maria Prindle. He is survived by his wife, Mary Delores, mother, Alicia Vandervort, daughter, Christina Bellamy and husband, Andy, sons Henry and Michael, step daughter, Jennifer Mastrogiuseppe and husband Andre, sister, Alice Hess and husband, George, brothers, Tony, Robert and wife, Val, Albert and wife Regina, two granddaughters, Megan and Sara Bellamy, numerous nieces, nephews, a host of relatives and friends. Henry will be sorely missed by all. A memorial Mass in celebration of his life will beheld at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, 2114 W. Houston St., San Antonio, TX 78207 on Saturday, July 8, 2006 at 10 am. The family will receive friends at the church at 9:30 am before the service.
