Il Vangerud Obituary
My beloved wife and loving friend, Il Pun Vangerud, age 72, passed away on Thursday, December 4, 2014. Il was an artistic seamstress who could create beautiful designs. She had a green thumb as displayed in the plants, flowers and fruit trees flourishing in her garden. She had a passion for fishing. She was a person who was full of happiness, enjoying dear friends in her daily walks and joyful laughter. Il had a will to live, unwavering faith in love and prayers of family and friends. We took pleasure in playing computer games together. She is survived by her loving husband of 34 years, Kenneth L. Vangerud; father-in-law, Leon Vangerud and sisters-in-law: Kathleen Wigdahl and Karla Stich. Il was a warm and giving lady who loved her family and friends ~ she will always remain in our hearts. Visitation will be held on Monday, December 15th beginning at 11:00 AM at Porter Loring on McCullough with a service to be held at 12:00 PM in the Porter Loring Chapel followed by burial at Fort Sam Houston National Cemetery.
