Cindy,

On behalf of all the Eucharistic Ministers, you have our sympathy. It is always rewarding to be given the privilege of bringing the Body and Blood of Christ to those who are not able to come to church to receive.

Dearest Cindy,
Although I did not know your Mother I do know that you loved her and you miss her.....I am also sure that she is with your Dad and they are looking down and smiling on the goodness they created (you); think good thoughts and dwell on the good memories, they will give you peace and comfort. With Love,
Dianne

I have two corrections to make to my earlier posting: of course Sterling House is on Jones Maltsberger Rd and not Blanco Rd; I forgot to thank the Eucharistic Ministers at St Mark the Evangelist's Church for providing the Eucharist to my Mother on a regular basis when she could no longer go to Mass. Please excuse my mistake and ommision!

I celebrate my mother's life. I am selfish because I miss her, but happy for her because she has gone to her Eternal Reward. She lived 90 years of a life, packed full with experiences and memories. I hope and pray that all of us will be blessed to lead a similar life.
I know Mom missed my Dad so much during the last years of her life and it comforts me to know that they are together in heaven at last. The 66th anniversary of their wedding date was the day before she died. They celebrated together in heaven, I'm sure!
Thank you to all who helped celebrate my Mother's life. She treasured her family and friends. (Mom has probably started at least two bridge groups up there already!) Thank you to Sterling House on Blanco Rd who gave competent and compassionate care to my Mother during the last years of her life. Thank you to Sunset Memorial Funeral Home who helped to provide a dignified and caring memorial for my Mother. Thank you to all of the members of Holy Spirit Catholic Church Parish, of which my Mother was a founding member, for their assistance with her funeral: Father "Tavito" who said her Mass of Christian Burial, the Deacon who presided at the graveside services at Ft Sam Houston Nat'l Cemetery, the Altar Society(Doris Schnieder), the music minister(Gilbert Aldrete), the Wed & Thurs Bridge Groups(Ann Keist) who helped in so many ways and were such dear friends of my Mother. You will always be remembered in our hearts.
Bless You & Thank You All,
Cynthia Jouffray Schorr

I met Irma at Sterling House where I helped with activities and outings. She was so young at heart, I never thought about her age. We went shopping to Bealls one day, and not only did she run into 4 people who knew her, she wore me out! She loved to look her best every day, dressed to the hilt and ready to go, with jewelry to match.
What a wise lady and what an inspiration to all. It was a pleasure to know her.
God Bless your family as you grieve, but also as you relish the wonderful memories.

We have been the best of friends for 35 years. There are so many memories , mostly good , but some sad.
I remember the times we went as couples to the Walsh ranch. What a good time we had.
I was in Nashville when I received the call about Irmas death. We drove 14 hours but couldn't make it in time for the funeral. My thoughts were with you.
I will miss Irma very much and will never forget her.

My family & I met Irma only in January thru the Sterling House where my dad is a resident. We loved to sit and visit with Irma and to hear her stories of the children and grandchildren. We will miss her and her laughter. Our prayers are with you at this difficult time.
