Dear Caudill Family,
Mr. Caudill's life is nothing short of inspiring! He certainly exemplified 2 Timothy 4:1-5! I include the picture of Kathy to show the joy and friendliness she has always exuded and still shines because of such a precious family. I only wish I could have heard him teach and preach! Love to you all...dawn

Caudill Family,
Our hearts are heavy with the news of Brother Jimmy's passing. He was a wonderful man and friend to our family. He meant so much to my parents and to Helen and I. Brother Jimmy blessed Helen and I by marrying us 43 years ago this last July. The words of advice from him on that day are so clear to me today. What a great legacy! What a great man! Your family will be in our thoughts and prayers.

Jimmy and his brother "Red" were my heroes - football, basketball, and baseball. They played these sports in Decatur in the late 1930s and the 1940s. Both are members of the Morgan County Sports Hall of Fame. They will always be my heroes. Today we, "Shorty's Boys," pay tribute to Jimmy.

May God bless the family with good health and a merry heart.

A Tribute to James Caudill

Today was a hurting day
For all of Shorty's Boys,
But for the way that you played
You gave us many joys.

Because of all that you accomplished
Many couldn't in the years that passed,
And you always playing till you finished
You leave memories that forever last.

Thank you for a great record
We look forward to another season,
To watch you play in your reward
As we play forever in heaven.
