James Klar, (82), of Bulverde, Texas, passed away at home on June 10, 2023, surrounded by family. James was born on a dairy farm in San Antonio, Texas, on September 8, 1940. He graduated from McArthur HS in 1959. James worked as an electrical superintendent for Lloyd Electric and ADCO Electric. James and Betty were ranchers in Bulverde. James was a devout catholic at St. Joseph Catholic Church-Honey Creek. He was a member of the Knights of Columbus and Eucharistic Minister. James is preceded in death by parents, Robert and Louise Klar; Sister, Teresa Klabunde; and great-grandson, Rownan Bazany. He is survived by his wife, Betty of 58 years; children, Kathy Bazany, Jeannie Ollis, and Cheryl Klar-Trim; 13 grandchildren; 9 great-grandchildren; and sister, Sister. Agnes Klar. A service will be at 5pm June 29, 2023, at Porter Loring North, followed by a rosary at 7pm. A Funeral Mass is on June 30, 2023, at 10am at St. Joseph's Church- Honey Creek in Spring Branch. Interment will be at the St. Joseph's Cemetery followed by a reception at Hope Church.

I was a classmate of James way back in 1959 at MAC, but it was called Northeast High School, not MacArthur. I was a Soph and recall him being in a few classes. Sad that he has passed, condolences to his family.
