James Spencer Obituary
Wednesday, January 1, 2014, James Carrol Spencer, son of V.C. and Frances Spencer, entered the gates of heaven at the age of 69. Jim was born September 1, 1944 in Liberty Hill, Texas. After graduating from Edison High School in 1962, he then entered the National Guard. Jim was known as a dedicated worker starting at the age of 13 and retired from Kraft Foods after 25 years. He will always be known as a faithful Christian man that was dedicated to his church and community. He is survived by his wife, Lori Green Spencer, daughters, Robin Olivarez (Richard Olivarez), Shannon Wilson, (Joseph Wilson), and stepchildren Ricky and Christy Byrom. His pride and joy in life were his grandchildren; Mason, Madilyn, Joey, Cody, Chase, Kady, and Michael. He was a loving big brother to his three sisters; Joyce Gayle (Clem), Nancy (Charlie), Shirley, and known as a caring uncle to many nieces and nephews. He will always be remembered as a devoted husband, father, grandfather, brother and uncle.
Visitation is Tuesday, January 7th from 5-7 p.m. at Doeppenschmidt Funeral Home in New Braunfels, TX. Funeral services will be Wednesday, January 8th at 10:00 a.m. at Doeppenschmidt Funeral Home in New Braunfels. Burial service will be held at 2:00 at Liberty Hill Cemetery in Liberty Hill, TX.
In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made to the Central Texas Children's Home sponsored by the Canyon Lake Church of Christ.
