Our loving wife, mother, grandmother, daughter, sister, aunt, cousin and friend, Janie B. Valadez, age 61, passed away on Saturday, November 13, 2021.

She was born in San Antonio, Texas on January 20, 1960 to parents Arturo and Maria Gloria Briseno. Janie attended Burbank High School.

In 1972, at the age of 12, Janie met the love of her life, Ramiro Valadez Jr. In 1976, they were married. Together, they built a beautiful life and had four amazing children and four beautiful grandchildren. They were married for 45 years.

Janie was a loving and devoted wife, a wonderful mother, an amazing grandmother, sister, aunt, cousin, niece and friend who will be missed by all. More than anything in the world, Janie loved her family.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Maria Gloria Briseno and Arturo Briseno; her sisters, Ophelia Cordova and Mary Elizabeth Nino; her brother, Arturo Briseno; and her nephew, Christopher Cordova.

She is survived by her husband, Ramiro, her children, Vanessa (Greg), Ramiro III (Nikole), Austin Mariano and Alan Roberto; grandchildren, Sophia Gloria Van Cleave, Ramiro Valadez IV, Isabella (Beba) Grace Van Cleave and Valentina Victoria Valadez; her siblings, Elvira Garcia, Mary Alice Soto, Martin Briseno and Jerry Briseno; her mother-in-law, Teresa Castillo Valadez; her father-in-law, Ramiro Valadez Flota; her sisters-in-law, Janie Saenz (Rogelio), Olga Yracheta (Johnny) and Velia Gonzalez; her brothers-in-law, Hector C. Valadez (Arty) and Richard Valadez, as well as countless relatives and friends. She was loved and will be greatly missed by all.

FUNERAL SERVICES

The visitation will be from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday, November 23, at Holy Spirit Catholic Church in San Antonio, Texas. A rosary will follow at 7:00 p.m.

The Funeral Mass will be offered at 10:00 a.m. on Wednesday, November 24 at Holy Spirit Catholic Church, 8134 Blanco Rd., San Antonio, Texas 78216. Interment following at Sunset Memorial Park, 1701 Austin Hwy, San Antonio, Texas 78218.

Celebration of Life to follow at Old San Francisco Steak House, 10223 Sahara Dr., San Antonio, Texas 78216.
