John J. Taddeo, of San Antonio, Texas, died September 2, 2016. He was born on January 1, 1935 in Mansfield, Ohio, graduated from the University of Miami-Ohio, served honorably in the U.S. Air Force for 25 years, and enjoyed a long career with USAA where he was President of USAA Credit Union. He loved his family and golf. He was preceded in death by his wife of 46 years, Pauline Fitts Taddeo; his parents, Frank and Maria Taddeo and 3 siblings. He is survived by his son, Stephen and daughter-in-law Kim; his daughter, Johnna Beene and son-in-law Jerry; grandchildren Bailey and Brady Beene; his brothers, Carl, Tony, and Nick Taddeo. Visitation will be held on Tuesday, September 13, 6-9 pm at Porter Loring Mortuary North, 2102 N Loop 1604 E San Antonio, TX 78232. A graveside service will be held on Wednesday, September 14 at 10:30 am at Fort Sam Houston National Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be sent to Bracken Christian School, 670 Old Boerne Rd., Bulverde, Texas 78163 or Embrace Hospice, 5835 Callaghan Rd, Suite 500, San Antonio, Texas 78228.

John was a wonderful person. He was married to my "Aunt Sissy" and we had a lot of laughs at our family reunions. I miss them so much. Sorry it took so long to send this message. I was thinking about them both today. so I looked up the obituary on line. He was a great person.

Johnna and Steve...my sincere condolences to you and your families. As you know John was a very special person in my life and I enjoyed working with him at the USAA FCU as well as playing golf, meals, etc. Even though I moved to NC, we always found time to catch up. John will be dearly missed by all that knew him. John also joins Mark Sosa in heaven and I am sure they have a tee time already.
