Johnny Phipps Obituary

PHIPPS
Former Texas resident Johnny William Phipps passed away at his home in San Antonio, Texas.

Per his children no service will be held in San Antonio,TX but for him to be brought back to his home town, Clintwood, VA with the open arms from his family. He was the son of late Ayers and Dolly Lyall Phipps, as well as the brother to the late Carolyn Horne. He was born in Dickenson county, VA on August 23, 1958. Johnny graduated from Clintwood High school in 1978. Johnny deceased this life on May 26, 2013. He served our country during the Gulf War and retired as SSG of the United States Army. Johnny received 18 different medals while enlisted. Thereafter, only to complete more duties at the USPS since 1998 in San Antonio, TX. Making his stay on earth, 54 years of Christian faith. He leaves to mourn his loss which includes his children Genevieve and Darek from his first marriage to Chamaiporn Phipps. He was able to witness the marriage of his daughter to Billy Chiang of Alhambra, CA. The births of Genevieve's children, grandson Bradyn and granddaughter Carolyn before he went with The Lord. His sons, John Evander and Jacob from his second marriage to Nancy Mancha.

Words From his children: "Our father loved us deeply, we know this in our hearts. No words can ever express a fathers love for his children but everyone can see it. Letting go of you is the hardest thing to do, but we take comfort to know, you are now with God. Kiss our family, as you enter heaven"
