Johnny Rodriguez, Jr., age 48, of San Antonio, died Thursday, June 24, 2021, from a 4-year battle of stage 4 metastatic colon cancer. He was a graduate of Roosevelt High School class of 1991. He worked 19 years at Gabriel Liquor Store Warehouse. He loved Budweiser, his heavy metal and playing Pool. He was a pool shark and loved going to heavy metal concerts. He loved his 2014 Black Chevy Camaro. He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Ambrosio and Concepcion Rodriguez and Frank L. Martinez; aunt, Rachel Esquivel; and uncle, Richard Rodriguez. He is survived by his mother, Rosie Rodriguez; father, Juan Rodriguez; sister, Shirley Hernandez and husband, Carlos; niece and nephews, Julian Hernandez, Justin Hernandez, and Nicole Hernandez; grandmother, Feliz Martinez; and numerous aunts, uncles, family, and friends. Visitation will be on Tuesday, July 6, 2021, following with a Rosary at 7:00 pm, at Porter Loring. Procession will take place on Wednesday, July 7, 10:45 am from Porter Loring to St. John Neumann Catholic Church, for the Mass at 11:30 am. Interment in San Fernando Cemetery 2.
