I looked forward to talking to Joe when I knew that Joe and Karen were joining us at various events through the years. The twinkle in his eye and his big smile will be missed. Loving prayers to Karen and Family.

When I was a little girl, I lived across the street from the Dawson home on Rosemary in Alamo Heights. I was 5 years old and was "in love" with Joe. He was 21! I asked him to wait for me to grow up to marry him. He smiled and gave me a big hug. I never saw him again after he moved as the home was sold and his mom Virginia moved to a smaller home.
Virginia worked long hours and owned an old English Springer Spaniel named Cocoa. Cocoa would come to our home and spend all day with me. So one day Virginia brought her food bowl, leashes etc over to me and told me that since Cocoa loved me, and she worked so much that she was giving Cocoa to me so she could get all the love she deserved. Because of her, she ignited my passion for dogs....which I have never been without my entire life. My love for the Dawson family has lasted a lifetime. Their kindness and love was a seed planted.......
I know Joe is in Heaven with his Mom and loved ones gone before him.
My condolences to his family and friends.
Prayers for comfort and healing
I´ve always cherished this photo of Cocoa and I
