On Wednesday, March 31, 2021, Judith Ann Brown Kuentz, loving wife and mother of six children, went to be with her Lord and Savior, at the age of 87.
Judy was born October 15, 1933, in San Antonio, TX to Raymond and Tekla Brown.
She attended Texas Lutheran College. It was there she met her husband, Charles, and they were married December 30, 1955. She graduated shortly after and received her Bachelor of Music Degree in 1956. Together they raised six children, Jennifer, Chuck (Sue), Raymond deceased (Vicky), Gary (Beth) , Kimberly Melchert (Steve), and Marci Schneider (Keith). She taught elementary students the love of music in the San Antonio area for 30 years. She was instrumental in creating the elementary music program in NISD. Even though she worked full time, her true calling was to be a loving wife and mother. Family time was her top priority, especially eating dinner as a family every night. After retiring, she continued her love of piano and music by accompanying area middle school students with their solos, as well as her twin granddaughters. She was also a member in the Helotes Area Community Band percussion section. Judy loved reading, sewing, crocheting, RVing, Texas bluebonnets, and hummingbirds. Judy was preceded in death by her parents and her son Raymond.
She is survived by Charles, her loving husband of 65 years, her five children, Jennifer, Chuck, Gary, Kimberly, and Marci, her sister Sharron Sontheimer (Bill), 14 grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren.
A celebration of life will be held at St. John Lutheran Church, 315 Rosewood Ave, Boerne, Texas, on April 10th at 10:00 am.

Mrs. Kuentz was a favorite teacher of mine, way back in my elementary school days. I remember learning how to play the recorder from her, and just loving her class. I knew she was a friend of our Wenette family as well. Praying for peace over your entire family. She was such a lovely woman, inside and out. What a blessing to have known her, and to see the impact she left on so many family members, friends, and students.
