Dear Ben, I was so sorry to hear from my Mum of the tragic loss of your wife Julie. Julie helped me keep my medical credentials 10 years ago when you both lived in Utah. I am not sure I would be where I am now if it was not for Julie. It was so nice to have Julie in the Bible studies, she taught us so much. You were both missed at Maranatha Baptist Church when you left. You both were such a loving & caring couple and I know this is a hard time for you. Please know you are in my prayers.

It's been almost a month since we lost Dr. Abbott. Not a day has gone by since her death that I don't shed tears for her and her family. She was my doctor for 7 years and I truly will miss her. She not only was a wonderful doctor, but a wonderful person. My heart goes out to her loving husband and family. May God be with you.

I just received my mail today 4/23 with a letter from iMED about the tragic loss of Dr. Julie Abbott. I am still in shock about this. I was a patient of Dr. Abbott's since 2004 and I didn't consider her just my doctor...she truly was a listener ..and a caring and compassionate confidante. I will really miss her as all who knew her will as well. She touched the lives of all that were blessed to know her. As a believer I take comfort knowing she is with our Savior. My heart, thoughts and prayers go out to all the family. May you feel the loving arms of Christ as you endure this trial. God bless you all.

Julie was one of my partners at IMED since its inception in late 1999. She was wanting to join an Internal Medicine group in the Stone Oak area and we added her as we formed our group. Over the next 8 years after working together 10 hours a day, we all became like a family. Julie was truly a special person... such a pleasure to work with. Her quiet faith, wonderful smile, and contagious laugh have left a permanent impression on our lives. She was a wonderful physician and I know from first-hand that her patients adored her. I thank God for bringing her into our lives for these brief 8 years. Words cannot describe the intense sorrow we feel for her loss. Ben, I pray that God will pour his blessings on you and continue to comfort and hold you and the rest of your family in this most difficult time.

I am so sorry to hear of Dr Abbott's untimely passing. I am a Registered Nurse and Julie was my personal physcian in Logan, Utah. I was so impressed with her care I recommended her services to all I came in contact with. She was extremely well regarded by all in her short time in Logan and still is. I was sad to have her leave the Logan, Utah area professionally but personally glad for her to move back to her friends and family. God Bless to all in her family, co-workers and friends. My prayers are with you for comfort and peace during this time.

Dear Ben,
Larry and I were shocked and so saddened to learn of Julie's death. She was a special person and I treasure the time we spent together as friends and neighbors--walking, talking, skiing and sharing our views of life and our Savior.
Her life was one of selfless service and compassion. The world is better because of her and she will be deeply missed.
We pray that you will be encircled in the arms of our Savior and find comfort, assurance and peace. We know Julie is fine and will be eternally rewarded for a life well lived.
God bless you.

To Julie's Loving family:
I had the honor of meeting Julie as my primary physician when I moved to SA 8 years ago. Little did I know what a beautiful, positive, professional and inspirational individual God had so powerfully placed in my life's path. My thoughts and prayers are with you during this time. For many, her life will continue to be the finest example of living as our Lord would have us do so. I give thanks to Him for the privilege of having known her.

Ben: I only just learned of Julie's death. I am so sorry. I know that no words can soften the pain and loss you must feel, I do want you to know that you are in my thoughts and prayers. I shall always remember Julie's gentleness, her compassion, and quiet confidence. Her love of our Lord radiated out to all. She was quick to listen and pray, and her advice and opinions shall be treasured. I remember us scamping over those hugh boulders in your Providence bench backyard as she planted the ground cover we'd gotten from my dad. She had such fun and her laughter was so infectious. Bothe you and Julie gave me the courage I needed to grow in the Lord. I shall remember with fondness always the Bible Studies and gatherings at your home. What a precious time they were. May God bless you and carry you through this time. I can't believe she's gone. The world is poorer for her going, but heaven is richer with her coming. I know there is nothing I can do to lessen the pain, but if you just need an ear to listen, a shoulder to cry on, or prayer--call me--I will be glad to be the ear, shoulder, or prayer warrior. I love you, dear brother in Christ. Stand Tall. She loved you more than you will know.

Dear Mr. Abbott,
I was fortunate to have Dr. Abbott as my physician when we moved to San Antonio nine years ago. She demonstrated such professionalism, kindness, and interest in me as a person as well as a patient. I am so thankful that God allowed our paths to cross. I also realize that I am a better person because of Julie Abbott. Sincerely,

Dr. Abbott's family,
I work at Imed and was in Colorado for my grandson's birthday so I was not able to be at the service today. My husband passed away last fall and Dr. Abbott helped me so much through his illness, death, and my grief. She always had a kind and supportive word for me. She was one of the finest people I have ever known and I count myself so lucky to have had her for a friend. What a perfect example of how we should live our lives!

I was so saddened to hear of the tragic loss of such a kind and compassionate person as Julie. She touched every life that she came in contact with for whatever the season. For me, it was to share a dorm with her at Tech for 3 semesters. She was steady...a rock of faith. How the angels must be rejoicing, Julie is home with her heavenly Father. For Mr. Abbott and all the family,
Please accept our deepest sympathy.
We hope you might find some comfort in knowing how great an impact Dr. Abbott had on our lives. She was a person who made a difference and her contributions of time and love changed countless lives for the better. She, and you, will be in our prayers.
Dr. Julie Abbott was very special -- she was an oasis of common sense, wisdom and kindness. In all the years she has been our doctor, she strove to make the world of medicine, insurance and all our illnesses and worries manageable. The words simply do not exist to describe how sweet she was, and how easily she could lift anyone's spirits with her sense of calm, sincere warmth, concern and endless good humor.
Julie Abbott had a wonderful sense of humor, and she could be brilliantly funny.
Just a few years ago, she helped me through one of the most difficult periods of my life and I will never forget her or the time she shared and the patience she showed.
My husband saw her just this morning, and I saw her yesterday, and as always, she allayed our fears and set forth a plan that helped us move forward confidently.
Her death is a terrible shock.
We are very sad and will be at a loss without her, as will all who had the privilege to know her.
God bless her always.

In My Pocket
I have memories in my pocket.
They rattle among the change.
My memories of you are treasures I carry wherever I go.
They are stored in bits and pieces, parts of a beautiful whole
They give me comfort when I think I am alone.
Yes, I have memories in my pocket, like so much other stuff I keep there.
But of all the treasures I have, it’s the memories of you that are the most precious.
