Kate Fisher lived a beautiful life. Kate was loved beyond measure and she loved so many. Kate's parents, brothers, family, extended Saint Mary's Hall community, and friends around the world are incredibly proud of Kate and the young woman she had become. Sadly, on November 22nd, Kate passed from this life. While this is a tremendous tragedy and an incredible loss, we know that Kate lives on in all of us and now with God.

Kate's infectious smile presented a deep kindness and acceptance of everyone. Kate was a strong, independent, brilliant young woman who excelled in whatever she pursued. Her academic awards, a multitude of leadership roles, extracurricular activities, varsity tennis, and national recognitions in speech & debate are impressive, yet what she will be remembered most for is her ability to inspire others to reach their potential, to teach, to listen, to persist, and to be a compassionate friend to every one of us.

We can remember Kate through a few of her favorite quotes:

Kate is survived by her loving parents, Lauren and Eric Fisher; her brothers, Jack and Andrew; her grandparents, Dr. Walter Dyck of Temple, Texas, Lana Dyck of Belton, Texas, Joyce and Larry Fisher of Columbus, Indiana, and Linda and Allan Gorton of Fair Oaks Ranch, Texas; along with seven aunts and uncles and ten cousins.

Services will be held at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday, November 28, 2018 at Saint Luke's Episcopal Church, located at 11 St. Luke's Lane, Alamo Heights, Texas 78209.

In lieu of flowers the family requests contributions be made to Haven for Hope, San Antonio's comprehensive resource for our community homeless and their children. Kate volunteered frequently at Haven for Hope in the children's day care center. Donations can be made in Kate's honor online at: www.havenforhope.org/

I first met Kate in Fiji on our rustic pathways trip. She was a bright, bubbly and ecstatic person. We had a great and hilariously funny friendship over the two weeks that i knew her. Since im from Australia we were constantly trying to do each others accents and i will hold this memory close to me forever. I am deeply saddened by her loss and express my love to her up in heaven and to her beloved family she would talk about.

My prayers are with the family. I remember being so impressed by Kate while volunteering at the Food Bank . She was so intelligent and kind.
My daughter who was born just a few days before Kate is doing a service project for homeless, we will do this in Kate's honor at Haven for Hope. We will continue to pray for the family.

I made my own foot prints in the sand of recent to remind me He continues to carry me through the mountain tops and the valleys that are often dark ... let others extend His hands and feet and love to each of you ...take much time to sleep and rest in His arms ... listen to His still small voice .
