1964 - 2021

Kathleen Fowler, 56, of San Antonio, Texas, was received by her savior the Lord Jesus Christ on August 9, 2021.

She was born October 3, 1964, at Walter Reed General Hospital, Washington, D. C., Arlington, Virginia. She is survived by her parents Joe (Maria) Fowler, Dixie (Bill) Janszen; siblings Jean Anne (John) LaRo, Drs. Jim (Lisa) Fowler, Larry Fowler, Eileen Fowler, Joey Fowler, Ricardo Sanchez and Austin Janszen; uncles and aunts Brooks (Joan) Franklin, JoAnn Roark; nephews and nieces Bridgett ( George) Hernandez, Scott Houston, Cole Fowler, Alex Fowler, Olivia Fowler, James Fowler, Thomas Fowler, Alyssa Fowler, Mason Fowler; grandnephew and nieces Nicole Poe, Sophia Poe, Dylan Poe and Natalia Hernandez.

Kathleen's gifts and callings were teaching and caring for young children of all ages. For the last 25 years Kathleen has been a vital part of the staff at Blessed Sacrament Child Development Center. Her selfless and caring nature was displayed in her everyday interactions with the children in her classroom. Over those 25 years, Kathleen took care of hundreds of children and created bonds that spanned decades. Her gift of being a loving caretaker was seen and appreciated by not only her immediate family and work family, but also by the parents of all the children she cherished so much.

Kathleen was an amazing daughter, sister, and aunt. She loved spending time with her family and helping her sister Eileen raise her niece Alyssa and nephew Mason.

Her sense of humor, and amazing gift of recollection of past events, will truly be missed by all.

Kathleen's Christian faith was very evident in her daily life and was reaffirmed most recently with a water baptism at Community Bible Church. Her faith in the Word guided her every step and was an inspiration to those who were blessed to know her. She is deeply missed but we know we will see her again one day.

Family and friends are invited to attend a Celebration of Life Saturday, September 18, 10:30 a.m., at Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church, 600 Oblate Dr., San Antonio, TX.
