Lora Kring Roach

Lora Kring Roach, 97, died on March 2, 2005. She was born to Peter and Annie Carlisle Kring in Papalote, TX, and married Arthur Roach in 1930. They made Corpus Christi their home for 64 years until they moved to the Incarnate Word Retirement Community in 1994. Until the end, Lora was a dedicated worker in a variety of church and charity organizations, never failing to respond to a call for help. She was also deeply devoted to her family, performing thousands of acts of kindness with exquisite love. She was preceded in death by Arthur, her husband of 68 years, as well as by her children Michael and Kathleen. She is survived by daughters Beatrice Fagan, Evelyn Roach, and Nora Zepeda (adopted) of San Antonio, by Pat & Margaret Roach of Austin, 14 grandchildren, and 34 great-grandchildren. The funeral Mass and burial were held in Corpus Christi. A memorial and rosary will be held on Tuesday, March 8 at 6:00 pm, at the Incarnate Word Motherhouse Chapel.
