Born April 1st, 1942 to John and Mary Blalock in Hillsboro, Texas, Lurtice Davis Blalock was no one's fool. He passed suddenly November 15, 2021 at the age of 79 in San Antonio, Texas surrounded by family.
Davis was raised in San Antonio, and graduated from East Central High School in 1959 where he met his soon-to-be wife, Delma. Davis served his country proudly in the Vietnam War, and upon his return, started a family with his wife. They led a wonderful life in the Texas Hill Country and ultimately settled in Castle Hills, living in homes that Davis built.
His passions were his family, his clocks, and his hot rods. He worked until he was 77. Davis leaves behind a legacy of long-lasting, deep friendships that carries on to the present day.
Davis is survived by his beloved wife of 58 years Delma, his only son Yancy Blalock (Suzanne), grandchildren Ivy, Yancy Jr., Camilla, Cale, Avery, and Boone Blalock, as well as sister Ladonna Higdon (Dain), and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
A service will be held Monday, November 22 at Bulverde Baptist Church at 1:00PM. Interment to follow at Mission Park South.
