Martha T. Castillo peacefully went to be with the Lord on November 21, 2021 at the age of 62, with her husband and children lovingly by her side.

Martha was born to Frank and Simona (Rodriguez) Trevino on March 15, 1959 in San Antonio, Texas. The tenth sibling of a close-knit family of fourteen brothers and sisters, Martha had the value of family and care of others engrained in her core. She served over 25 years in public education, touching the lives of so many with her kind treatment and genuine attentiveness. Her home was always welcome to all, and she greeted everyone with her signature warm embrace. Wherever Martha went, smiles, laughter, and fellowship were sure to follow. Her love of dancing and singing, crafting and games, remembering birthdays and creating special memories were surpassed only by her unwavering faith in the Lord and the love of her family and home she created over 43 years of marriage, motherhood, and grandmotherhood. "I loved you first," she would tell her children; her love and spirit will be everlasting. Martha was a selfless wife, mother, and grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend and will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved her.

She is preceded in death by her parents, beloved in-laws Fred and Julia Castillo, sister Hermelinda Gonzales, and brother-in-law Jim Krusinski.

Her legacy and treasured memory will carry on through her husband George R. Castillo; daughters Yvette Leal (Jorge Leal) and Stephanie Ann Castillo (Nicole Medrano); son George Castillo, Jr. (Stephanie Vasquez); grandchildren Aidan, Leila, Liam, Kayley, and Emarie; siblings Dolores Garcia (Robert), Connie Biache (Jesse), Hope Torres (Oscar), Janie Krusinski, Frances Rodriguez, George Trevino (Alma), Grace Trevino (Carlos), Frank Trevino Jr. (Marcia), Luis Trevino (Roseanne), Andy Trevino, Jesse Trevino, and Maggie Mihertadian (John); Frankie Gonzales and countless loving family members and friends. Visitation will be held on Friday, December 3, 2021 from 5:00 P.M. – 8:00 P.M. with a prayer service at 7:00 P.M. at Mission Park Funeral Chapel South.

A funeral procession will depart at 10:30 A.M. on Saturday, December 4, 2021 for an 11:00 A.M interment service at San Jose Burial Park.
