Maureen Theresa Vale of San Antonio, Texas, passed away after a brief illness on November 5, 2025. She was the youngest child of Theresa Vale and the late Senator Robert Vale.
Maureen recently retired from the state after 32-years; however, her greatest lifetime achievement was being a mother to her only child, Emily.
She is survived by her daughter, Emily Theresa Carnes; her mother, Mrs. Theresa Finnegan Vale; her two sisters, Kathleen Vale and Shelagh Vale; and her brother, Michael Vale, in addition to aunts, uncles and many cousins, nieces and nephews.
Her entire family from San Antonio, Texas to Liverpool, England takes comfort knowing Maureen is joyfully reunited with her father on holy ground. Together by each other's side, they now enjoy an eternal peace that surpasses all others. She will remain deeply cherished, her laughter, generosity of spirit, and memory alive in our hearts forever.

The family will receive friends on Wednesday, November 19, 6pm-7pm in The Angelus Chapel with the Holy Rosary to be recited at 7:00pm.

Funeral Mass will be offered Thursday, November 20 at 10:00am at St. Luke's Catholic Church.
The burial will be held privately for her family only.
