Miguel Alonzo III
Miguel Angel Alonzo III passed from this life on Sunday November 13, 2011 at the age of 24. He is survived by his mother, Cynthia R. Martinez, his step-father Javier A. Martinez; and two sisters, Valerie Ann and Jenny Ann Alonzo. Miguel graduated from Smithson Valley High School in 2005 and was a 2011 graduate of the AACOG Law Enforcement Academy in July. He was protective of his family and friends, especially his mom, and was always willing to help a person without being asked. Public visitation is Wednesday November 16, 2011 from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Doeppenschmidt Funeral Home in Canyon Lake. Funeral service is 11:00 a.m. Thursday November 17, 2011 at Cranes Mill Baptist Church in Canyon Lake, with Pastor Jerry Becknal officiating. The family requests that monetary contributions be made to San Antonio Crime Stoppers toward the reward in Miguel's name.

Our Thoughts and Prayers continue for Miguel's Family, I never got to meet him personally but he was my sons classmate at the Academy AGOGG class of 2011. My son carries Miguel's memory with him everyday, the memorial bracelet he has. May our precious father give each of you strength, comfort and peace. We will forever carry him in our hearts much love to each of you.

I would like for the family to know that I still think of Miguel and the sadness it brings to my heart. I know how much you must still miss him. I didn't know him personally. I want to thank everyone for your kind words to my family. I am Miguel's uncle and I can tell how much Mikey has touch so many lives. I know he had joined the Marines and then became a Police Officer because he wanted to help protect and serve his country. His life was cut short but his last actions as a wonderful person was to help a friend. Remember him and help find justice in his name. I love you Mikey! We all do. SEMPER FI

My prayers are with your family. I was in the class 2011-A and got to know your son at the academy. Miguel Alonzo was an amazing person who always had a smile on his face and bought many great memories to our class 2011-A.

I am so deeply sadened for the loss of your son Miguel Alonzo. He was a friend and a classmate at the Academy with my son Zach. They graduated together. The news of your loss has touched my heart very deep. I will keep all of his family in my prayers.

I did not know Miguel personally, I met him thru Our son while in the AACOG Academy. I know my son just love his personality and his love for serving. You are an exceptional young man in my heart I will honor you, Thank you for the love you gave to others. To the Family I will continue to pray for peace, justice,strength and comfort. May our precious father and his angels welcome you with love and joy because you were joy to your fellow AACOG classmates, family, and the Community.
