BRAHINKSY
Muriel Silberman Brahinsky, M.D., 88, passed away in San Antonio on November 1, 2013. A graduate of Southern Methodist University and Southwestern Medical School, Muriel practiced medicine in Dallas and later taught health-science courses in the Dallas public schools and a community college. An almost lifelong resident of Dallas, Muriel moved to San Antonio in 2007. She was preceded in death by her husband, Henry Brahinsky, and a son, Martin. She is survived by sons Gerald Brahinsky and wife Phyllis of Irving, Texas, and Eric Brahinsky and wife April of San Antonio, and granddaughters Simone Brahinsky of New York and Rachel Brahinsky Evans and husband Jadon of Canada. She was my teacher at the High School for Health Professions in Dallas. One of the best teacher I ever had. That classroom was so small my desk was touching her desk and we were directly facing each other!
