Nancy Putz Obituary

Nancy Putz, age 57, of Schertz, passed away April 19, 2004. She was born to John and Violet (Michaels) Walker on April 11, 1947 in Iowa Falls, IA. Nancy always sought to tell others about saving faith in Jesus Christ. "Truly, truly, I say to you, he who hears My word, and believes Him who sent Me, has eternal life, and does not come into judgment, but has passed out of death into life." (John 5:24) She was preceded in death by her mother, Violet Walker. Nancy is survived by her loving husband, Randy Putz, Colonel, USAF, retired of Schertz; father, John A. Walker and his wife Margaret, Stanhope, IA; sons, Midshipman Luke Walker Putz, Annapolis, MD, and Jeremy Walker Putz, Schertz; brothers, John A. Walker II and wife Pamela, West Des Moines, IA, and Steven Walker and wife Mitsuko, Salem, OR; several nieces and nephews. Nancy was a graduate of the University of Iowa and was a former teacher at Grace Bible Preparatory School and San Antonio Christian Schools. Visitation will be held from 5:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M. on Wednesday, April 21, 2004 at Schertz Funeral Home. Graveside Services will be held at 9:15 A.M. on Thursday, April 22, 2004 at Fort Sam Houston National Cemetery with Pastor Dennis Biddison officiating. Following the Graveside Services, a Memorial Service will be held at 11:00 A.M. at Fellowship Bible Church in New Braunfels. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to: Compassion International, 12290 Voyager Parkway, Colorado Springs, CO 80921-3668. Arrangements are with Schertz Funeral Home.
